I’ll take the time to get to know your dancer. Whether you’re looking for dramatic, powerful poses, elegant ballet lines, or a mix that shows both their strength and their grace, I’ll guide the session to bring it out.

2.The photo shoot

Your dancer’s photo shoot is all about celebrating their artistry. I'll capture the strength in their movements and the elegance in their lines, while creating images that feel true to who they are.

3.Design Consultation

You'll be treated to a cinematic in-studio slideshow of your photographs, and I'll guide you through choosing and ordering your favourites, which will be carefully edited and made into stunning hand-crafted artwork or digital files. A gorgeous 8x12" fine-art print is included.

Where does the photo shoot take place?

Your session takes place in my private, modern studio in Sutherland (40 minutes south of Sydney CBD)

Do I get the digital files?

Digital files are not included and can be purchased on the day (starting from $595). I also offer beautiful hand-made artwork products like framed prints and canvases, which can be purchased separately.

What age is best for a dancer portrait session?

There’s no “perfect” age – every stage of your dancer’s journey is worth celebrating. Whether they’re just starting ballet in their first tutu or preparing for their final competition season, we capture the grace, technique, and personality they’ve developed so far.

What should my dancer wear?

Most families choose their dancer’s favourite leotard, tutu, or costume, plus a few extra outfits for variety. Bring ballet shoes, tap shoes or pointe shoes if they have them.

Can we include different dance styles in one session?

Absolutely. If your dancer trains in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, or contemporary, we can capture them all. Each look can be styled and lit to suit the mood and movement of the dance style.

How do you help my dancer feel comfortable in front of the camera?

My sessions are relaxed, encouraging, and tailored to your dancer’s personality. I guide them with simple posing tips, help with hand and foot placement, and create a fun, pressure-free environment so they can shine.

I’m a portrait photographer based in the Sutherland Shire in Sydney.

I’m committed to making sure your dancer’s unique story is told through beautiful, hand-crafted artwork. My approach is all about getting to know your dancer so I can create portraits that truly reflect who they are.

With over 18 years under my belt as a full-time photographer, I spent 12 years photographing weddings before founding Delight Images in 2020.

Being a dad of three gorgeous girls has shown me how precious these photos are, and I’m passionate about capturing those real, raw moments that families can cherish forever.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me at home with my family, soaking up those everyday moments (and sneaking in a scotch and Game of Thrones ep when I can!).
